Tatyana Uspenskaya-Murphy was born in Tver, Russia. She started painting at an early age of five. In her teens she won numerous youth art competitions and developed her artistic style through private studies with a professor of the local Art Academy. While continuing her artistic training, she completed a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature.

Upon moving to the United States in the middle of 1996, she returned to painting professionally and acquired a private clientele in the Dallas area. One of her most notable works is a portrait of Mr. Robert Dedman Sr., the founder of ClubCorp of America. The portrait was purchased for the company museum in 1998. Over the years, she expanded her creative output into other areas, becoming also a creative designer, a published author, and in the recent year - a sculptor.

Tatyana predominantly works in oils, although she sometimes experiments with mixed media for added texture and depth.
